Greek handmade black figure ceramic amphora, museum copy.
It depicts the Goddess Athena and on the other side runners. The amphora of Panathinaikos or Panathinaikos amphora was a traditional prize with which the winners of the gymnastics and chariot races in Panathinaia were awarded.
Panathenaic amphorae were the amphorae, large ceramic vessels, that contained the olive oil given as prizes in the Panathenaic Games.
